Justin has more than ten years of experience practicing law in Kansas and Missouri. He completed undergraduate degrees in Business Administration and Accounting at Kansas University (2004). Justin graduated cum laude from Washburn Law School (2007), received a Master of Laws in Taxation (Tax LLM) from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Law School (2015) and is a Certified Public Accountant (Kansas).
Justin's practice focuses on business and commercial law, civil litigation, bankruptcy, creditor's rights, estate planning, tax controversies and trust and probate administration. He regularly advocates for his clients in litigation matters in both state and federal courts and also counsels clients with regard to tax planning for business transactions, sales and business formation.
Justin has written articles on tax and related legal topics for Ingram's Magazine, Thomson Reuters, National Business Institute and the Kansas Bar Association. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as a rising star each year for the last five years. Justin is a member of the Kansas Bar Association, the Topeka Bar Association and the Topeka Area Bankruptcy Council for which he previously served as Treasurer.
Justin was born in Topeka, Kansas and attended Lawrence High School. He and his wife consider themselves fortunate to live, work and raise their four children in northeast Kansas. In his spare time, Justin enjoys exercising, working in his yard and spending time with his family.
