Bruce J. Woner

Bruce J. WonerBruce has practiced law for over 35 years. His practice is diverse and he routinely leads clients and their supporting professionals in achieving strategic goals, by way of acquisition or sale, litigation or negotiation. Counseling bankers and bank boards, defending banks in litigation entanglements and guiding banks and bankers in their relationship with regulators are where Bruce's primary efforts are expended. He guided several client banks during 2009 through 2012 in addressing regulatory challenges in the midst of the economic downturn. Besides Banking, Bankruptcy, Business and Commercial Law and Litigation, Bruce also helps many clients with wills, trusts and business planning needs.

Bruce is a member of the Board of Directors of Central of Kansas, Inc. and the Board of Directors of Central National Bank. Over 100 banks and financial institutions have been assisted across the years by Bruce and his practice colleagues.

Bruce's family homesteaded in Cowley County, Kansas in 1870; he graduated from high school in Hutchinson; achieved his undergraduate degree at the University of Kansas; and earned his law degree from Washburn University.

Bruce has been active in his church, First United Methodist Church, scouting and youth sports across the years. Presently, he serves as Co-President of the Native Sons and Daughters of Kansas and Chair of the Staff-Parish Committee of his church.

Bruce and his wife, Pat (also a member of Woner, Reeder & Girard, P.A.), have two grown children, Ben and Laura.
