Patricia Reeder

​

Pat is a shareholder at WRG with more than thirty years of legal experience as a practicing lawyer.  Her areas of practice include:

​

  • Banking;

  • Bankruptcy (creditor representation);

  • Business and Commercial Transactions;

  • Business and Commercial Litigation;

  • Real and Personal Property Foreclosures; and

  • Workouts.

​

Her primary practice emphasis is in the areas of banking, bankruptcy and commercial law and litigation on behalf of numerous bank and credit union clients across Kansas.  Her bank and credit union clientele rely upon her for representation in the bankruptcy courts in Topeka, Kansas City and Wichita, and in state courts across Kansas; real estate and personal property foreclosures in state and federal court; and day-to-day advice, document preparation and review. 

Pat grew up in Troy, Kansas; did her undergraduate work at Kansas State University; and earned her J.D. from the University of Kansas.  Pat is a third generation Kansas lawyer.  She is a former President of the Kansas Bar Association’s Bankruptcy and Insolvency Section and served on the Bankruptcy Rules Committee for the District of Kansas for many years.  Pat served  on the state-wide Board of Directors of Kansas Legal Services and the Advisory Board of Directors of Kansas Legal Services in Topeka; has been a volunteer officer of the Native Sons and Daughters of Kansas; and currently serves on the Board of Directors of United Methodist Foundation at Kansas State University, Inc.; Kappa Alpha Theta Facility Corporation at Kansas State University; and the Board of Trustees of her church, First United Methodist Church in Topeka.

Pat is Co-Chancellor (Co-General Counsel) of Great Plains Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church, which serves 1,035 local churches in Kansas and Nebraska.  In this capacity, she regularly handles or coordinates representation on matters of incorporation and governance, property and trust, and employment.

Pat and her husband, Bruce (also a member of Woner, Reeder & Girard, P.A.), have two grown children, Ben and Laura.

Timothy Girard

​

Tim has practiced law since 1988, and he has been with WRG since its inception in 1991. Tim's recent practice has been primarily in the areas of:

​

  • Commercial Loan and Business Workouts;

  • Real Estate and Personal Property Foreclosure;

  • Bankruptcy (Creditor Representation);

  • Commercial Loan Document Preparation;

  • Commercial and Banking Litigation;

  • Secured Transactions (UCC-Article 9);

  • Contracts, General Business, and General Real Estate.

Tim is a member of the Kansas Bar Association, the Topeka Bar Association, and the Topeka Area Bankruptcy Council. He has been a presenter for the Kansas Bar Association and is a member of, an editor for, and a former president of the Kansas Bar Association, Bankruptcy and Insolvency Section. Tim is a former President and Board of Director member of the Topeka Area Bankruptcy Council.  He also serves on the Advisory Board of Directors of Kansas Legal Services in Topeka.

Timothy Girard

Tim and his wife, Lesli, grew up in Belleville, Kansas. Tim earned a degree in Business Administration at Kansas State University, in 1985. Tim graduated from University of Kansas School of Law in 1988 (KU won the NCAA Basketball Tournament that year). Lesli is the Co-executive Director of  Families Together, Inc., a firm which provides information to Kansas families that have a child with a disability. Tim and Lesli have three children, Kristina, Nathan, and Bradly. During their personal time, Tim and Lesli like to exercise, watch movies, and read. They enjoy time with their grandchildren (courtesy Kristina and her husband) and are always game for a good sporting event.  Tim and Lesli are parishioners of the Christ the King Church in Topeka.
